That is not a fix or solution, but that is what works more or less for some of our customers right now. That is a somewhat known issue that pops out of nowhere randomly with some of the Windows Server 2016/2019 updates.Ī temporary workaround that makes things a bit sweeter is using Least Blocks or Round Robin with Subset MPIO policies. Multipath/MPIO all set, both round robin and LQD have been tried, regardless, as soon as a CSV a huge drop in speed. I actually expect a performance hit when making the target CSVFS, but ~90% drop is huge. Do you know whats happening under the hood which is causing this? Its almost like the process used for the cluster to use the CSVFS is limited to 1 Gbps and cant see its got 10 Gbps network. The very second I add that iSCSI target to a cluster CSVFS the speed from each host drops to ~100 MB/s, almost 10% of its former speed. If I create an iSCSI target and connect that to any of the three hosts, I can transfer at ~900 MB/s over iSCSI to the storage.

I can see an new driver was issues on from Intel (the 10 GbE NIC vendor), and I will update and test.Īnother issue related to networking which I hope you can help with too: These servers connect to SAN storage.

Though, i'd really need to avoid just giving all VM 50 GB RAM en masse. Like I said, 50 GB on each of the two VM not gives a solid 300 MB/s transfer. Adding more RAM to each VM does make transfers a solid speed. Also schools with a network lab license are using a network license that expires after a year. Businesses with 10 or more copies of SketchUp Pro are eligible for a network license.

Let me dig up that tomorrow and report back In the past turning off some functions of the 10Gbe NIC helped speed it up.

2019 networking has been a serious challenge so I expect this is a physical server driver drag waiting on drivers for the NIC that fixes this issue.
